Gauges are intelligent and many are multi-functional, easy to use and learn, with similar operation of all instruments. Common features of the gauges and their operation:
Quick Press: Sets major mode immediately. All major features are the easiest and quickest to access (e.g. one quick press of the S, L or T key to display Speed, Logs or Temperature)
Secondary functions are next easiest. One-half second press: UP button arms alarms, DOWN button disarms alarms and "+" (middle) button changes backlight levels.
Setting of alarms done on all instruments the same way. Press and hold the UP key ten seconds to set a HIGH alarm, press and hold the DOWN key ten seconds to set a LOW alarm.
Functions only ever used once to select sender type, calibrate the instrument, etc. These functions are accessed by holding a key combination while powering up instrument.

CruzPro instruments have been tested and are CE certified by NZ Industrial Research Laboratory LTD to meet or exceed Radiated Emissions (EN5008-1), Conducted Emissions (CISPR22, EN50081-1), Radio Frequency Immunity (IEC801-3, EN50082-1), Electrostatic Discharge (IEC801-2, EN50082-1) and Fast Transient Immunity (IEC801-4, EN5008201) tests - not just "self-certified" as much of the competition is.
Almost all CruzPro instruments are RoHS (Reduction of Hazardous Substances) compliant for sale in Europe and use lead-free solder to help protect the environment.
